The PolyWaste Technology™ is protected by international patent filings and is the only known commercially viable technology for re-processing and recycling low grade, low value plastics and plastic film.

The PolyWaste Technology™ has the following unique features:

• Tolerant to many contaminants;
• Produces the plastic substrate in a single processing pass;
• Saves approximately AUD $600/T when compared to other recycling technologies;
• Has less than 50% the GHG footprint of other recycling technologies; and

What does that mean in layman’s terms ?

Polywaste Technology™ is a new, unique and innovative plastic melting process invented in Australia which has a well-deserved reputation for its clean technologies, new innovation and waste solutions.

This innovtive technology can mix and melt co-mingled waste plastics that are currently not possible to be recycled using traditional processes – this is game-changer for the industry that now enables the production of value-added products from the lowest value plastic waste.

The Polywaste Technology™ can also be used to process higher value traditional plastics and delivers further competitive advantage to existing operators through lower energy consumption and production costs, making existing operations more commercially viable.

Yes. Polywaste Technology™ can process film and solid waste plastics with up to 10% contamination, making it ideal for recycling low grade plastic films from agricultural, industrial and domestic waste streams.

The plant and equipment needed to deploy the PolyWaste Technology™ for low value plastics processing and recycling is the revolutionary Collins Mixer-Melter. Its unique rotary design is protected by international patent filings.

Originally designed by Ross Collins, an inventor with a lifetime’s experience in plastic recycling processes, the Collins Mixer-Melter is manufactured in Australia under license by C & M Leussink Engineering Group and easily containerised for transport by road, rail or sea to any location from Port Kembla.

Each Collins Mixer-Melter is warranted, fully maintained and serviced by C & M Leussink Engineering Group and its local agents.

Polywaste IP Limited owns all right, title and interest in the intellectual property relating to the Polywaste Technology™. This innovative technology is covered by international patent filings.
PolyWaste Technologies Limited commercialises the PolyWate Technology™ world-wide through licensing, manufacture and supply of the Collins Mixer-Melters.
Newtecpoly is a waste plastics processor, recycled plastic products manufacture and professional services company that is a Licensee of the Polywaste Technology™.

In addition, Newtecpoly provides the following essential services for Polywaste to customers in Australia:

• Research and Development services including, but not limited to, appropriate feedstock, blends and melt temperatures of various plastic types for particular a product or purpose;
• Pre-sales sample testing of a wide variety of problematic waste plastics supplied by potential customers to demonstrate application of the PolyWaste Technology™ to existing processes, production, and product needs;
• Accredited Re-seller supplying the Collins Mixer-Melters; and
• Technical training in use and operation of the Collins Mixer-Melter and on-going professional support services.

Examples include, large manufacturing businesses, local shires, waste contractors, under resourced communities etc. For these organisations, the Polywaste Technology™ reduces overheads and creates value by transforming existing disposal costs into real value-added plastic products

• Existing plastic manufacturers that are seeking to reduce their current plastic input costs by using low cost feed stocks, lower their process operating costs by using less energy and/or seek to expand into recycling new plastic products.

What type of value-added products can be produced using the Polywaste Technology™ and how does this change my existing business model?

The range of products that can be produced using the PolyWaste Technology™ is extensive and depends upon:
• The specific blends of feedstock; and
• The types of extruder or moulding units attached to the Collins Mixer-Melter.

Newtecpoly provide a testing service to assist potential customers assess the suitability of the PolyWaste Technology™ to their requirements.

Generally, the technology is best suited for plastic products not under significant loads or large pressure and well-suited to agricultural, domestic, municipal, garden and similar uses. Some product examples well suited for using the PolyWaste Technology™ from low value feedstocks and plastic film include:

As an approximate guide only, we would expect that using the PolyWaste Technology™ to process low value plastic feedstocks will increase the economic value of a Customer’s production outputs from AUD$800-$1,000/tonne for beads or granules up to at least $2,000-$3,500 per tonne for basic recycled plastic products, and significantly more for higher-value products.
